Privacy Policy

Effective 4 November 2026 · Last updated 4 November 2026

DXcompanion collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn't send anything to the developer. Your voices stay on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage.

Who we are

DXcompanion for iPad and Mac (“the app”) is developed by Marian Fujara (“I”, “me”). This policy covers the app and this website. Questions go to marian.fujara@gmail.com.

Data the app collects

None. The app has no servers of its own and contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking code. It doesn't ask for your name, email address, location or contacts.

Data stored on your device

iCloud

If you're signed in to iCloud, the app syncs your User Library between your devices through Apple's CloudKit, in the private database of your own Apple Account. Only you can read it; I can't see or access it. Apple handles this data under the Apple Privacy Policy. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for DXcompanion in your device's settings.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth only to connect to Bluetooth MIDI adapters, such as the Yamaha MD-BT01, that link it to your reface DX. It doesn't scan for, record or share any other Bluetooth devices.

MIDI

The app exchanges MIDI messages (voices, parameter changes and notes) with the instruments connected to your device. These messages stay between your device and your instrument. The MIDI log in the settings is kept in memory and cleared when the app quits.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It's served by Cloudflare Pages, which, like any web host, may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because I hold no data about you, there's nothing for me to show, correct or delete. You can delete your voices in the app, and remove its iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings under Manage Storage.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the app ever starts handling data differently, the policy will change before the app does.
